Trust is our product. This is how we verify every profile and how we look after you before, during and after every date.
How we verify every profile
- Official ID document, validated with specialised verification technology.
- Liveness check: the person on the document is the person on the account.
- 18+ always; attempts to evade it are removed without notice.
- Whoever invites, additionally: income and net worth verification with a visible badge. Proven, not claimed.
- Your documents are never shown to other users.
During the First Date
- Only public venues from our curated list (known cafés and restaurants) or a video call inside the app.
- Start and end safety check-ins from your phone.
- Report and block buttons always one tap away.
- Active moderation team: fake profiles, pressure or prohibited conduct end in expulsion.
Our golden rules
- The rate compensates time and presence at the First Date. Nothing else.
- Offering or soliciting sexual services is prohibited and actively moderated.
- Date money is paid directly between the two of you: Sugalink never touches it or takes a commission.
- We cooperate with authorities on any sign of coercion or crime.
Quick tips
- Before: check the verification badge and agree venue and rate only inside the app.
- During: stay at the agreed public venue and use the check-in.
- After: rate the date; your report protects the community.
